Podcasts - Changing of the Guard
The Twit network has started to feel desperate. Leo has become the Glenn Beck of podcasting.
A great article over at Macdrifter about the rise and fall of podcasting giants. I knew going into it that I was going to agree with most of this article, but the above quote is something I’ve been saying for awhile now. A good read.

Here’s some links to articles that I saved to Instapaper this week. Usually because they are long or of interest later. A bit like bookmarking with intent to read.

Stop Telling Me What To Do! - Culture - Kotaku →
I’ve been thinking for awhile about why I like playing certain games and not others. This article seems to quantify what I’m feeling (and give me a twinge of nostalgia of my life in Tokyo).
What I really have a problem with is the constant tutorials, and nagging that games seem to employ, when it’s really intuitive gameplay that makes PLAYING fun.
And that’s what I...
Stop Shaking My Movies Like A Polaroid Picture -... →
Something both Cori and I had a vehement discussion about the other night over dinner. Stop making us sick with the shaking, and let us watch the movie!

mmmm … Studio Ghibli.
This was supposed to be shorter than it is
I was exploring the internets today, specifically this bit. I remember seeing the tweets and the artcles on waxy and kottke but hey, the more information on an interesting topic the merrier. Then I inadvertently saw some comments on one of the blog posts. Was the bar for internet comments raised while I’ve been away at school or have I just been spending too much time on Youtube. I...

Hey, Listen!
I was aware of the Shazam-like app called Midomi but I was not aware that there was a website.
Of course I’ll use Shazam for on the fly identification of music but I usually want a bit more than that. Like covers or a similar sound. I haven’t fully explored the website yet but it appears to have everything I want. In fact I did hit the Explore button and was side-tracked listening to...

Fireball: The John Gruber Story
It’s an honor to have been involved in Dan’s project. Frankly, this is the kind of role every actor waits for his whole life. What a cast. And, Kubrick made us reshoot the drinking scene almost 300 times.
Well done, Dan.

The Escapist : News : More EVE Online Shenanigans: GoonSwarm Ganks Band Of Brothers
Details are still a bit scarce, but apparently The Mittani, leader of the Goonfleet Intelligence Agency, managed to convince a very high-ranking director in Band of Brothers to turn traitor and join GoonSwarm. Which in itself is bad enough, but according to a Shacknews reports, he brought...

A Series of Unfortunate Events
yourmonkeycalled:
What a crappy day!
I tripped and fell into a video game store.
I lunged to steady myself by picking up the nearest thing at hand, which happened to be a Nintendo Wii.
I bounced around the store, unable to regain my balance, grabbing for anything to pull myself back up: Mario Kart, Rock Band, an extra controller.
My credit card slipped out of my wallet, right through the...
